We worked in collaboration with Cloud 9 Records to deliver a mammoth 7.2 surround sound ‘Soundscape’ for the YVG Drama department who were performing ‘Godspell’, a Musical by John-Michael Tebelak. There were close to 200 individual elements in the raw mix, we then had to sub-mix them into smaller sections in order to form manageable mastering stems that could filter into each of the required surround sound channels. Due to the colossal dynamics within the soundscape, we used LKFS capable meters to help keep the program from clipping and distorting. Although it’s something out of this world to listen to in surround sound, have a listen below in stereo!
